Sunkist® Meyer Lemon Shochu

Simple Syrup Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup water

Cocktail Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup shochu
  • 2 tablespoons simple syrup (see sub-recipe)
  • 2 tablespoons Sunkist® Meyer Lemon Juice, fresh-squeezed
  • 8 -10 each mint leaves
  • 0.5 cup soda water
  • 1 each Sunkist® Meyer Lemon, wedge
  • Ice cubes


Preparation: 10 minutes

Cooking: 10 minutes

Simple Syrup


  1. Combine ingredients in a small sauce pan. Over medium-high heat, heat syrup just until the sugar dissolves. No need to boil. Remove from heat and allow syrup to cool at room temperature.
  2. Once cooled, store syrup in a clean covered container, and keep in the refrigerator for up to one month.



  1. In a tall glass filled with ice, measure in the shochu, simple syrup, Meyer Lemon Juice, and mint leaves, stir with a long spoon.
  2. Top with soda water. Garnish with a Meyer Lemon wedge and mint leaf.
