All-purpose Lemon Ice Cubes Ingredients

  • 10 Sunkist® Lemons
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Fresh mint leaves

All-purpose Lemon Ice Cubes

Directions

  1. Wash the lemons thoroughly with water and a small amount of salt. Rinse and pat dry.
  2. Use a zester or grater to zest the lemons and set the zest aside.
  3. Cut the lemons in half and juice them. Strain the juice to remove pulp and seeds.
  4. Combine the lemon juice and lemon zest in a blender and blend until well combined. Strain once more for a smoother texture.
  5. Pour the lemon mixture into ice cube molds. Add small lemon slices or mint leaves for garnish, if desired.
  6. Freeze for approximately 4 hours, or until fully set. Once frozen, the lemon ice cubes are ready to use.

Serving Variation (1) Lemon Honey Soda

Directions

  1. Drizzle honey around the inside of a glass
  2. Add 1–2 lemon ice cubes
  3. Top with sparkling water and stir gently

Serving Variation (2) Lemon Tea

Directions

  1. Add lemon ice cubes to a glass
  2. Pour over freshly brewed and cooled black tea
  3. Adjust the number of ice cubes to taste

Serving Variation (3) Lemon Slushie

Directions

  1. Blend lemon ice cubes together with lemon tea ice cubes until finely crushed
  2. Pour into a glass
  3. Top with whipped cream, then finish with lemon zest and a drizzle of honey
