Orange custard Ingredients

  • 10g Sunkist orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon Sunkist orange peel
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 10g sugar
  • 5g flour
  • 100g whole milk

Chocolate Cake Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Sunkist orange peel
  • 50g dark chocolate
  • 50g unsalted butter + 5g for greasing the baking cups
  • 2 eggs
  • 40g sugar
  • 30g all-purpose flour

Orange custard

Directions

  1. Sift the flour, then add the egg yolk, sugar, and orange juice. Mix well.
  2. Heat the milk and orange peel over low heat. Gradually add the egg yolk mixture, stirring quickly until fully combined.
  3. Heat the milk mixture over the lowest heat, stirring constantly until thickened. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.

Chocolate Cake

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C/356°F.
  2. Grease the bottom and sides of the baking cups with butter. Sprinkle a little sugar or cocoa powder evenly. Line the bottom of the baking cups with baking paper for easy removal.
  3. Melt the chocolate and butter over the lowest heat, then let cool.
  4. Beat the eggs and sugar until well combined. Add the melted chocolate mixture, then sift in the flour and gently mix thoroughly.
  5. Fill the baking cups halfway, add the orange custard, then cover with more batter.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 9 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack for 2 minutes. Run a toothpick around the edge of the cup. Cover with a plate and invert it to remove from the mold.
