Citrus Salt

Citrus salt is a fantastic kitchen staple that can bring a zesty finish to dishes. Easy to make and so versatile, this citrus salt recipe also makes a great gift.

Number of servings


  • 2 tablespoons Sunkist® lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons Sunkist orange zest
  • 0.5 cup kosher or coarse flake sea salt


  1. Preheat the oven 150°.
  2. Combine ingredients together on a baking sheet.
  3. Place in oven for 4-6 hours or until the Sunkist® citrus zest is totally dried.
  4. Let cool and store in a tightly covered container or jar.
