Orange Cream Cheese Frosted Cinnamon Rolls

  • 1 container of 4 refrigerated jumbo cinnamon rolls
  • 1 tablespoon of zest from a Sunkist® orange
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, room temperature

Frosting Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese, room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, room temperature
  • 0.75 cup powdered sugar
  • 0.5 tablespoon vanilla or almond extract
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed Sunkist® orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon Sunkist® orange zest



COOK TIME: 20 Minutes


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and open cinnamon rolls.
  2. Zest a Sunkist® orange into a large mixing bowl, add butter to the bowl and stir together.
  3. Unroll each cinnamon roll and spread about ½ tablespoon of orange butter mixture onto the dough. Roll back up. Repeat for all 4 cinnamon rolls.
  4. Bake cinnamon rolls for 16-20 minutes until baked through.
  5. Make frosting (recipe below) while cinnamon rolls are baking in the oven.
  6. Spread half of the frosting on top of cinnamon rolls while warm. Drizzle remaining frosting onto cinnamon rolls before serving.



  1. Combine cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, extract, Sunkist® orange juice and zest in a bowl.
  2. Mix until smooth.
