ORANGE CHOCOLATE ALMOND ENERGY BALLS

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups gluten free rolled oats
  • 6 tablespoons freshly squeezed Sunkist® orange juice
  • 0.25 cup almond butter
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 4 teaspoons Sunkist orange zest
  • 4 tablespoons dark cocoa powder
  • 1 cup raw almonds

PREP TIME

Preparation: 20 minutes

Directions

  1. Place the oats, juice, almond butter, honey, zest and cocoa powder in a food processor.
  2. Process until mixture just comes together.
  3. Add the almonds and pulse until nuts are chopped into the mixture.
  4. Portion the mixture into heaping tablespoons and roll into balls.
  5. Store refrigerated for up to 2 weeks. Bring to room temperature before enjoying.

    Variations:
    • For added texture try rolling these in chopped cocoa nibs and orange zest.
    • For a spicy twist add a dash of cayenne.
